It seems nearly impossible that, some twenty years ago, most people only got junk mail in real, tin mailboxes, and if they wanted to mail a friend a letter, it took four days to get it there. Now, it's instant. Instant communication, instant information.
Information is one of the things that makes the Internet such a powerful resource, but along with facts comes plenty of fiction. One of the scariest effects of instant, online information, is how similar it looks to misinformation. One of the greatest growth industries of the online revolution? Fraud.
